Workshop Summary:
As teachers, we’re expected to provide rigorous differentiated instruction, social-emotional support, and behavior management among students with varying needs and abilities. The challenges we face while playing each of these roles can often lead to feelings of overwhelm and burnout. But what if we reframed these roles as opportunities to support academic success rather than a distraction from it?
Classroom management is a carefully and intentionally chosen set of routines, procedures, and expectations for behaviors in your classroom. In this workshop, we show you how to construct a management system that champions positive classroom relationships and academic success for your students.
Strobel Education’s Classroom Management Workshop comes with everything you need to take classroom culture to the next level.
No more screenshots, Pinterest boards, and folders scattered across your file cabinets and desktop. When you register for this workshop you can download our digital resource bundle where you’ll get access to the exact anchor charts, activities, and strategies we use to cultivate positive environments in classrooms across the country. You’ll walk away with visuals, examples, and tools already made for you and finally all in one place for you to reference quickly during your prep time.
The responsibility falls upon all educators in the PreK-12 system to deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction, provide social-emotional support, and manage behaviors among students with diverse needs and abilities. Classroom management involves carefully selecting routines, procedures, and behavioral expectations that will support the continuous growth and learning of those diverse students. By creating a management system that prioritizes positive classroom relationships and academic achievement for your students, all participants will walk away with multiple strategies that will ensure students participate in metacognitive activities to boost their understanding and assume responsibility for their own learning. These strategies will help all educators establish and sustain a learning-friendly environment, promoting student learning and ensuring effective instruction.
