Workshop Description:
Every school district aspires to achieve 100% student attendance and participation, yet the actual scenario often falls short of this ideal. The grim reality is that optimal futures are within reach when students occupy their seats. Furthermore, a conducive learning environment, marked by engagement, correlates with improved discipline and the attainment of student goals. This workshop offers real-time solutions to bridge the gap between Chronic Absenteeism and student behavior, while ensuring the fulfillment of all learning objectives. Recognizing the global rise in Chronic Absenteeism and student behavior challenges, participants will engage in discussions with peers from various school districts. Together, they will collaboratively devise a model tailored to their classrooms, aiming to enhance engagement, participation, and positive behaviors.
Outcomes:
During this session, participants will delve into a case study, gaining insights into the various tiers of Chronic Absenteeism. They will acquire valuable knowledge aimed at resolving issues related to Chronic Absenteeism and enhancing student discipline within their classrooms. The focus will be on equipping participants with effective tools for managing student interactions, including positive behavior interventions, classroom management strategies, and fostering relationships through mentoring and building a supportive learning environment.
