Workshop Description:
The goal of all school districts is 100% student attendance and participation, unfortunately the reality can be quite bleak. When students are sitting in their seats, the sky is the limit for their futures. Additionally, when students are learning and engaged, discipline improves, and student goals are met. This workshop will provide real-time solutions on how to bridge the gap between Chronic Absenteeism and student behavior while ensuring all learning objectives are met. As Chronic Absenteeism and student behavior have become an increasing global problem, participants will have opportunity to discuss the issues with other school districts and design a model for their own classroom to improve engagement, participation, and behaviors.
Outcomes
Participants will review a case study and learn the about the tiers of Chronic Absenteeism.
