Workshop Description:

Navigating through assessments, assemblies, activities, and inevitable absences often leaves educators grappling with a scarcity of time within a school day, let alone a whole academic year, to cover every standard in any given subject. While the imperative is for students to grasp all required material, it's equally crucial to equip them with the tools for lasting comprehension. Educators serve as the timekeepers for their students' learning, striking a balance that doesn't rush through the game before every student has had a chance to participate. This workshop will commence with a broad exploration of time management principles, evolving to provide participants with tangible, real-time solutions that can be implemented in their classrooms the very next school day.

Outcomes:

In this workshop, participants will engage in a thorough review of professional articles, delving into strategies for effectively managing their time with students. The session will provide valuable insights and practical tips on working with students who may face challenges in time management, ensuring that whole group instruction remains robust. The goal is to equip educators with a comprehensive toolkit to enhance their time management skills and effectively support students in navigating this crucial aspect of their academic journey.

ALL are welcome, including anyone in a non-administrative position!

Participants will earn .5 credit (7.5 hours) toward license renewal!
