Workshop Summary:
Many students come to school with a fixed mindset meaning they believe their intelligence, talents, and skills can’t be developed and they cannot grow or change. This belief profoundly affects the way students engage in school and their success in life.
In Strobel Education’s Growth Mindset Workshop, you will learn how to cultivate a growth mindset in your students. Research shows that a growth mindset leads to higher test scores and increased student well-being. By adopting this mindset, students view challenges as opportunities for growth and critical feedback as valuable information. This workshop provides a blueprint for implementing a growth mindset curriculum, complete with ready-to-use lesson plans and activities.
You’ll learn how to:
● Transform students beliefs and mindsets
● Teach students to recognize failure as an opportunity for growth
● Develop student resiliency
● Implement Growth Mindset resources
● Provide support to students and teach them to enjoy challenges
All educators from PreK-12 know that many students enter school with a fixed mindset, perceiving that their intelligence, talents, and skills are unchangeable and incapable of growth. This belief significantly influences their approach to education and overall success. By the competition of this workshop, all educators will be able to help their students learn ways to grasp the content, its purpose, and the criteria for assessing their comprehension. Studies suggest that students possessing a growth mindset demonstrate increased interest in adopting effective revision and learning strategies. Those with a growth mindset exhibit greater resilience in managing classroom stress and anxiety, and they are adept at self-motivation. Participants will be able to design continuous learning opportunities informed by evidence of each student's present learning status and engage them in ongoing growth in all academic areas.
