Workshop Description
As we all know, many educators leave the profession after their first year. Our goal is to set teachers up for success early in their teaching career in a way that will last a lifetime. We welcome new(er) teachers with zero to three years of professional experience, as well as administrators and school leadership that want new strategies to prepare their teachers still in their first few years in the classroom. Participants will discover best practices through, an asynchronous module packed with resources, peer interaction, and subject-specific coursework with facilitator feedback, as well as two synchronous sessions. The partnership of iteachNEVADA, The Teaching Channel, and Learner’s Edge hope you will join us to discover what a first-year teacher needs to deliver instruction, manage their classrooms, and respond to the challenges faced by today’s students.
