Workshop Summary:

Strobel Education’s Social-Emotional Learning Workshop is designed to help teachers, administrators, and support staff with the skills and strategies necessary to provide support to the whole child - academically, socially, mentally, and beyond. This workshop is designed to arm educators with tools to arm them in addressing their students’ emotional needs while maintaining rigorous instruction. It touches on common struggles students face such as conflict, failure, and stress, and highlights how important it is to invest in their personal development alongside academics.

By integrating solid research with easily understandable and implementable teaching methodologies, this workshop expands the scope of SEL, highlighting its indispensability for student empowerment in the classroom. More than that, educators will leave this workshop with ready-to-go lesson plans, activities, and visuals, allowing you to apply these SEL concepts in your very own classroom, boosting productivity and paving the way for improved student performance.

You’ll learn how to:

●         Teach students how to advocate for their emotional needs

●         Develop students’ skills to regulate their emotions and behaviors

●         Improve student productivity, teamwork and overall student outcomes

●         Implement SEL resources

●         Provide support to students as they reflect on their own actions

This workshop equips all PreK-12 educators with the tools to address students' emotional needs while maintaining a rigorous instructional approach. It delves into common challenges students face, such as conflict, failure, and stress, emphasizing the importance of investing in the whole student alongside academic growth. By merging research-based strategies with easily comprehensible and applicable teaching methodologies, this workshop broadens the understanding of Social-Emotional Learning, emphasizing tasks that deliberately engage the cognitive abilities and skills of all students and helps teachers of all content areas to strategically plan ongoing learning opportunities by considering the current learning status of all students.
