WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

If you are struggling to get students to think in any learning environment, come learn simple ways to integrate technology to facilitate inquiry based tasks in less than 15 minutes of instructional time. Learn how to spark student’s learning in your topic by facilitating discussions around inquiry based tasks. Experience a math inquiry task, review examples of simple tasks for all core subjects, create your own inquiry tasks and leave with more ideas for your own classroom.

Earn .5 credit (that's 7.5 hours) toward license renewal

and ALSO 2.5 CUs in CCSD for non-administrators

Salary Advancement in Clark, Washoe and most NV Counties (see details below)

ALL EDUCATORS WELCOME!

Washoe County participants will be required to also register for this course in "MyPGS" in order to receive in-service credit toward salary advancement.

Olivia Odileke loves making Ed Tech and teaching easier for teachers. Her personal mission is to transform education one teacher at a time. For over 10 years she worked as an educator at Title 1 schools in Florida. She served as a national Training Specialist for Stride formally K12 Inc. She has personally trained over 7,500 teachers and continues to seek ways to innovate education. She is a Certified Trainer for Nearpod and a Math Instructional Coach for HMH. She also has written over 30 published lessons for Cpalms.org, Nearpod, and Pearson. She holds a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology. She is the author of A Beginner’s Guide to Nearpod: A Tool for Transforming Virtual Teaching in K12. All her experience has led her to becoming an expert in best instructional practices and the tech tools educators can use to accelerate student learning and curiosity.
