Biography of Presenter:

Jerry Hanson serves as the Student Support/Success Coordinator for Frazee-Vergas Public Schools in Minnesota, bringing an extraordinary 45-year journey in education to the role. With a diverse background that spans teaching, coaching, and even driving a school bus, Jerry has excelled in nearly every aspect of the educational field. His tenure includes 32 years as a school administrator, marking him as a leader with deep expertise and commitment. Notably, Jerry's career is decorated with awards and recognitions, highlighting his versatility and impact - from a high school football official for over two decades to a college student teacher supervisor.

A notable highlight of Jerry's career was his leadership role during the inception of the No Child Left Behind program, where he served as the Minnesota President of Program Administrators for Federal Programs. Despite retiring three times, Jerry's dedication to education is unwavering. He continually returns to serve, whether as a long-term substitute teacher, a sixth-grade teacher, or even stepping in as a principal in a town three hours from his home. His current part-time role in his home district reflects his enduring passion for supporting and guiding students.

Jerry's life partner, Sharon, humorously suspects his addiction to the world of education, encompassing his love for students, teachers, and the entire educational process. Her suspicions might not be far off the mark.

An avid speaker on leadership, communication, and positivity, Jerry is a certified trainer for both John Maxwell and Jon Gordon. He is renowned for infusing energy and positivity into every speech and training session he conducts. His daily positive messages to the K-12 staff in his district are a testament to his commitment to uplifting and inspiring educational professionals. Jerry's presentations are consistently met with acclaim and repeat invitations, thanks to his engaging style, wealth of experiences, and practical problem- solving strategies that leave his audience equipped with valuable insights for immediate application.
