WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

"Tranquil Teaching: Empowering Educators on Mental Health, Trauma-Informed awareness, and Finding Inner Peace" is a comprehensive multi-day workshop specifically designed for educators who want to deepen their understanding of emotional and mental health and learn practical strategies to support students who have experienced trauma. The class aims to help PreK-12 educators prioritize their own well-being while also promoting the well-being of their students.

In today's fast-paced educational environment, it is essential for educators to create a calm and nurturing classroom atmosphere that fosters emotional resilience and academic success. Throughout the course, participants will learn about the fundamentals of mental health and trauma-informed education. They will gain insight into various mental health conditions commonly encountered in the classroom, such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Additionally, educators will learn how to identify possible signs of trauma in students and respond effectively, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

The class will explore techniques that educators can incorporate into their teaching practices. Participants will be introduced to mindfulness and relaxation techniques, stress management strategies, and self-care practices that can be integrated into their daily routines. By implementing these techniques, educators can enhance their own well-being and serve as positive role models for healthy coping mechanisms.

Furthermore, the class will focus on fostering resilience and emotional intelligence among students. Educators will learn how to create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes emotional regulation, empathy, and self-awareness. They will also gain practical strategies for building strong relationships with students and creating a supportive network within the school community.

"Tranquil Teaching" is a transformative class that equips educators with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to navigate the complexities of emotional and mental health in the classroom. By investing in their own well-being and becoming trauma-informed, participants will be empowered to make a lasting impact on their students' lives, helping them find inner peace, resilience, and success.

Every educator who engages with students on a daily basis strives to create opportunities for self-monitored learning that are crucial for fostering autonomy and metacognitive skills in students. We will explore techniques for educators to help students enhance and improve performance levels through actively participating in becoming aware of their own well-being through mindfulness. All PreK-12 educators will be able to support their students' elevated accomplishments by ensuring they bring their best and most effective selves to teaching every day. By the completion of this workshop, all participants will gain strategies that will help them increase connections and commitment to their school communities.
