Workshop Description:

Emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in shaping student achievement by fostering a conducive learning environment and enhancing interpersonal skills. Students with high emotional intelligence are better equipped to manage stress, navigate social relationships, and regulate their emotions effectively. This self-awareness and emotional resilience contribute to improved concentration and a more positive attitude towards learning. Additionally, students with high emotional intelligence are better able to empathize with their peers, creating a more inclusive and collaborative atmosphere in the classroom. This heightened ability to understand and navigate social dynamics not only positively influences peer relationships but also facilitates effective communication with teachers, leading to improved academic support. In essence, emotional intelligence serves as a crucial factor in a student's overall well-being and academic success, as it equips them with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the educational journey. This course will center on a comprehensive exploration of Emotional Intelligence, emphasizing the importance of imparting this skill to our students. Through collaborative efforts, participants will delve into the five principles of Emotional Intelligence and understand how these principles can significantly influence their classrooms. The aim is to equip educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively teach and foster Emotional Intelligence among their students.

Outcomes:

Participants in this course will gain a profound understanding of the criteria constituting Emotional Intelligence. The focus will extend to a personal analysis of their own Emotional Intelligence, fostering self-awareness. Moreover, the course will provide participants with practical strategies aimed at aiding students in comprehending and enhancing their own Emotional Intelligence. The overarching goal is to equip educators with the tools to not only understand Emotional Intelligence but also effectively guide students in developing this crucial skill.
